This coffee comes from the Obura-Wonenara district of the Eastern Highlands province of Papua New Guinea, where much high-quality coffee is grown. Arkau primarily sources from the Tairora-Gadsup, Yellia and Lamari local-level government groups (LLGs), and serves a vital role in transporting coffee from the remote, mountainous areas where they are grown and bringing them to market. 

PNG's Eastern Highlands range in altitude between 1,700 and 2,000 meters above sea level and are known for their cool temperatures, which allow for a longer cherry maturation on the tree. This typically translates to the development of more complex flavor compounds in the final cup.

We recommend enjoying Papua New Guinea Arkau as a pour-over or espresso, but it's great with whatever your preferred home brew method is!
